1940s and 1950s vintage fabrics

I have just uploaded these two 1940s and 1950s lovelies onto the website - I have to admit, those two decades are favourites of mine regarding vintage fabric design. And I also love psychedelia, of course!

I have been very lucky to get some late Victorian scraps and little pieces - I can't stop looking at them and wondering what they have gotten up to over the past 120 years. Once they're all cleaned up I'll take some shots to show you all...truly, these little pieces ooooooze history...

Vintage image love - 1962

This is an image out of the Spring 1962 American Fabrics magazine. It's an image used in an advert for Chemstrand Nylon. I don't know what I love more - the swimsuit cut, the bathing cap or the fabulous make-up...
