A day to celebrate

Tibor

Today I found out I don't have cancer. It was a worry my doctor and specialist had. But at some time this afternoon my worry turned to pure joy. The wait was awful - a week and one day of toil and uncertainty. But, for me at least, I found out good news. I want to send out blessings to those who did not receive such good news today and who are spending tonight in despair. I am grateful - ever so grateful - for the life I have and to hear I had an illness such as cancer would be upended me. I am so, so, so very grateful for all I have, have received and am learning to live each day as full as I can...no matter what :)

Funnily enough, I took some fabric shots this arvo and finally got one of the Tibor Reich's 'A Tournament' (1967)...shots show around half of the full panel width and a close up. The shots aren't as deep as what it is in real life - but the pagentry, the richness and the pomp and ceremony of the fabric really sums up my day.

...riding to freedom :)

Out of the blue comes gold Tibor

Photobucket

I didn't have time to take some shots today - so apologies for the lame captures from the web. We went to a place today expecting to walk away with some fabric - and then we came away with a super rare original piece of Tibor Reich's 'A Tournament' from 1967. Our jaws haven't left the ground...photos coming soon...ours is the brown and black colourway and just so amazing. Tibor. Here. With me. Amazing.
