Make a bedspread tutorial - in 1953!

Photobucket

Yes - I know...when I get addicted to the old mags, I totally get addicted. This is a fabulous tutorial on how to make a bedspread...very cool indeed! I have to try and find the October 1953 House and Garden mag that preceeded this article - it has a tutorial on how to make a padded headboard...oh, how I would love that!

Have a great weekend!

  1. this is so neat! i'm actually thinking of making the one with the cut away corners as a cover for my x-long twin "daybed." (it's actually just a mattress and boxsprings that i'm trying to make look like a daybed.)

did you happen to scan p. 80 of the magazine that has directions for the one with cut away corners?

  6. Hello...

I just checked the mag - yes, that's the entire article. I checked every page but there was nothing else on bedspreads - something missing? Maybe it is a 'next edition' thing??

Hope you had a great day!
