Struck down by a crab (stick)...
Can't believe it. Through the whole festive time my stomach has been made of iron and I have fought my way through everything that's been thrown at me...ham, chicken, chocolate (everywhere!), custarts, desserts, vegies...etc etc...
And then tiredness set in and I just. couldn't. cook. one. more. meal.
There was nothing left to do but buy some fish and chips. Who'd have thought it was a bad decision? Not me, not hubbie, not four year old who LOVES fish and chips but rarely gets them in his tum.
Struck down within five minutes. Knew something was array so rushed straight to bed. Dunno why - thought bed might help. Was so sick within 10 mins called the Nurse on Call hotline for the first time ever!! I have to admit...I thought my time had come, as I had never had food poisoning like that...never!
Am on very slow road to recovery. And no - that road will not be including a crab stick for a very long time...
Food candy for your fabricaholics above...
Happy New Year all - may all of your dreams come true in 2008.

Lucienne Day textile heaven...for sale!
Lucienne Day - Calyx fabric by the panel or by the metre. Amazingly, what looks to be an original piece was recently sold in Victoria, Australia - lucky some buyers knew what they were after and it went for a decent price. See the completed auction here.Oh lordy....here I am at 5am with insomnia...and what do I do? Oh course I twiddle my thumbs in front of the computer and run around looking at internet sites I haven't come across before...
And what do I find?
The end of the rainbow....
Twenty Twenty One - a shop in England - sells reproduced Lucienne Day textiles online....and other gorgeous vintage and new bits and pieces - like the Stig Lin The site is a wonder...
Here's a direct link to their Lucienne Day textiles...I have featured some of their stock above...gorgeous, isn't it?
Lucienne Day has to be one of the most eminent textile designers you can collect. We have come across two of her pieces - one 4m piece went to the UK and was resold and we have another piece here - two pairs of cafe curtains. Used, but sublime...
As far as I know Lucienne Day is still alive and holds copyright on her textile designs. It is only recently reproductions have been authorised...I know of no 'fake' textiles produced in the UK or elsewhere....
Below - pottery cushion and lusgarden cushion by Stig Lindberg, also for sale on the website....
