Meet my co-worker for the day

I met this gorgeous little leaf creature as I was walking in this morning...is he/she not beautiful? I was allowed to get up so close to the little thing - which I did, hopefully not entering the 'leaf creature personal space' so I wouldn't frighten it to death. It was sitting, enjoying the sunshine. A perfect way to start the day...so, if you've got sunshine where you are...step outside for five minutes, bask in the heat, inhale and enjoy your day!

Vintage fabric new arrivals - special ones!

I have 14 more pieces to get up onto the website - they're all photographed and ready to go, but I have lost some daylight to keep things going today. I may come back and put some up this evening - I'll see. The two I did get up are from the same estate - we purchased 200+ fabrics - and are extra special, we think. Perfect condition, amazing designs and colours and genuine vintage 1960s. The pink embossed brocade is here and the yellow lurex brocade (below) is here. These fabrics are absolutely gorgeous - I love fabrics that have a lot of personaility!

Inspiration scrap and swatch packs...

I thought I would show you a swatch pack that was ordered yesterday. It was cut and packaged this morning. The brief was greens, golds, browns, cream and reds, if possible. This is just some of the pack - I didn't have time to take shots of it all - sorry! The pack fabrics ranged from 1940s to 1980s, with some velvets and barkcloths and mostly cottons added to the mix.
