I actually saw one of those in a house many years back, when at an estate sale. Yes, it was totally cool! The kitchen didn't look much different than the one in that ad. I'm sure it's been gutted by now.
I would love to see one! Actually - I would love to be in a 1950s kitchen, with all of the original utensils, smells and radio going on in the background. I love their gadgets :) - like the gorgeous faucets/taps they had...sigh...
We just bought a home that has this same refrigerator and it's working just fine. The inside is pink but over the years someone has painted the outside white.
I really, really, really want to keep the unit as it is, but today we put an amp tester on it and it draws 3.5 amps (todays refrigerators draw about 1.??)so we are guessing about $70-$80 a month to run it. Thats WAY TOO MUCH to just give to the power Co. As cool as it is, I wish I could find a way to justify the expense, or find a way to make it cheaper to run. Any ideas? insightpipe@aol.com
Have an aqua model with matching wall oven. I need a compressor, and wouldn't mind having a unit for parts down the road. Anyone have one they want to sell? Jeff- belvair@hotmail.com
