Beeches - Ronald Hansen, Grautex, Copenhagen
I haven't had a great opportunity to take some great shots of these panels that arrived a couple of months ago. We have three of them - and, at the moment, I have two already stashed away for wall art once the front of the house has finished being reno'ed and repainted.
It's one of my all time favourite vintage interior decorator designs - it was features on wallpaper as well as fabric. It's called 'Beeches' - selvedge note says Beeches - An Art Handprint - Grautex - Copenhagen - Design Ronald Hansen.
These arrived crumpled and unwashed - as you can see! But I had to take shots anyway. And sorry for the grass - each panel is a whopping 2.5m long!!

I found a similar fabric by Ronald Hansen at a Goodwill dollar per pound. I was wondering if you knew anything about the artist? melyon04@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI have had his print of Pinewood for a few years, I currently use it as a fabric doorway to my kitchen, but in a previous apartment had it floor to ceiling on the wall beside my bed so you could see it through the doorway. Mine isn't labeled, and my mother just tripped across an ebay auction of one that was labeled and I have been frantically researching online since. She got it in a free box at a garage sale when she was in california a few years ago. We assumed it was someone's college textile project. I agree with the above commenter, if you know anything else I would love to know more!
